THE DAILY POWERUP

What to do when your #2 leaves you

It happened last week.

My good friend Bella texted me

Her Head of Operations of 10+ years decided to move on to her next opportunity.

She told me at first, it was quite the sting.

And then she realized this was a great opportunity to rebuild the foundation of her business

And to never centralize so much responsibility with one human.

This is a live example of what could happen when you put all your eggs in one basket.

It's a very real situation that I hate to bring up in conversations when discussing client collaborations

What will happen if your number 2 leaves you?

Oh that will never happen

until it does.

So what is the first thing you do?

Call up a Machine Maker to rebuild your infrastructure while you focus on the growth opportunities.

Because the building actually doesn't take that much time...

It's clearly communicating your vision for how the machine must operate to create the results you are pursuing.

As the visionary of the organization, it's your responsibility to hold the vision for what your business will look like, and then find the people who can execute on that vision.

Those people include the partners (like me) who will build your business, and employees/contractors who will run the machine.

If you have never created the Vision for your infrastructure, I have a unique (free) opportunity that will knock your socks off.

I'll share more details at the end of the week.

For now, you can book your calendar for June 10th at 5-7 PM.

If you ever lost a #2, let me know what were your first action steps to get back on your feet!
